One person arrested on suspicion of serious crimes in Denmark


On 21 October the Swedish Security Service arrested one person on suspicion of unlawful intelligence activities targeting refugees, and preparation to commit murder. The person was arrested following a request from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, PET.

A request for extradition of the person to Denmark has been made.

The arrest was made in Gothenburg and is a result of intensive cooperation between the security services in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The operation has been complex and ongoing for a considerable period of time.

The suspected offences are directed against individuals in Denmark.
The Danish Security and Intelligence Service, PET, is running the investigation which is headed by a prosecutor in Denmark.
